The Turkish Air Force is the aerial warfare service branch of the Turkish Armed Forces. It ranks 2nd in NATO in terms of fleet size behind the USAF with a current inventory of 1049 aircraft (in April 2011. ) Supported by long-range in-flight refueling capability the fighter jets of the Turkish Air Force can participate in international operations.
