Westland Scout

The Westland Scout was a general purpose military light helicopter developed by Westland Helicopters. It was closely related to the Westland Wasp naval helicopter.

Westland Scout is the predecessor of the Westland Wasp.

The RAN acquired two Westland Scouts for hydrographic work in 1963. They arrived in Australia on the merchant vessel "Auckland Star". Delivered 20/03/63. Arrived as WS101 and later Serialed N8-101.8
The Westland Scout is one of the few helicopters of British design to have been built in quantity.9
