Shanghai Y-10

The Shanghai Y-10 (Y - Yunshuji - transport) was a four engined VIP transport jet aircraft developed in the 1970s by the Shanghai Aircraft Research Institute. Due to non-availability of the intended WS-8 turbo-fan engines the prototype aircraft used Pratt & Whitney JT3D-7 turbofan engines acquired as spare engines for CAAC's small fleet of Boeing 707 aircraft.
