The Napier-Heston Racer also referred to as the Heston Type 5 Racer or Heston High Speed Aircraft J.5 was a 1940s British single-seat racing monoplane first conceived by D. Napier and Son Ltd. and built by the Heston Aircraft Company Ltd for an attempt on the World Air Speed Record. The private venture was financed by William Morris Lord Nuffield.
Like there's the ill-fated Napier-Heston Racer which only
survived one flight.1

The pre-war Napier-Heston Racer, with its race version 5000 hp Napier
"Sabre" H-24 engine, should have had a contra-rotating prop system.
Instead they used a 16 ft. single prop.5
however, the first aircraft powered by the Sabre was the Napier-Heston Racer, which was designed to capture the world speed record.6
