The Mitsubishi T-2 was a jet trainer aircraft used by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. By March 2006 all T-2s had been retired. The F-2 succeeded the T-2 for training mission.

Mitsubishi T-2 is the predecessor of the Mitsubishi F-1.

Mitsubishi T-2 advance trainer jet, which is built based on the Sepecat Jaguar.5
The Mitsubishi T-2 was developed as the supersonic trainer aircraft for JASDF. And also, JASDF required growth potential to support fighter of this trainer.6
This unit transitioned from Mitsubishi T-2's at Tsuiki about a decade ago and now flies F-15DJ's from Nyutabaru.7
