Halberstadt D.II

The Halberstadt D. II was a biplane fighter aircraft of the Luftstreitkräfte (Imperial German Army Air Service) that served through the period of Allied air superiority in early 1916 but had begun to be superseded in the Jagdstaffeln by the superior Albatros fighters by the autumn of that year.

The Halberstadt D.II was superceeded by superior Albatross fighters by autumn 1916. Halberstadt D.II, 1916, 85 built Junkers J.1

Pat Wilson's Halberstadt D.II has upper and lower wings of equal span; this is historically not correct, since they was respectively 28'11" and 25'11" .9
