Curtiss Model N

The Curtiss N-9 was a seaplane variant of the Curtiss JN-4 Jenny military trainer used during the First World War by the United States Navy.

Douglas Thomas, and the Curtiss Model N, and two earlier versions of the aircraft were produced, the JN-2 and JN-3, before the first JN-4 flew in 1916.1

The Curtiss Model J (along with the Curtiss Model N) was a prototype tractor configuration aircraft that became the basis for the Curtiss Jenny series of aircraft.2
