The Cranfield A1 is a British single-seater aerobatics monoplane powered by a single Rolls Royce Continental IO-360. The Cranfield A1 is a low-wing cantilever monoplane with a fixed tailwheel landing gear.

The Cranfield A1 is still there but looking rather down at heel.Apparently it is used by the College for accident investigation but in a non-destructive way.6
the Cranfield A1-400 was light aircraft actually built and the unbuilt projects were A-3 and ASTRA Hawk experimental aircraft.7
