Bristol Beaufort
The Bristol Type 152 more commonly known as Bristol Beaufort was a British twin-engined torpedo bomber designed by the Bristol Aeroplane Company and developed from experience gained designing and building the earlier Blenheim light bomber. Beauforts first saw service with the Royal Air Force's Coastal Command and then the Fleet Air Arm from 1940 until they were withdrawn from operational service in the European theatre in 1942.

Aerodrome where a volunteer group is restoring a Bristol Beaufort of
1941 vintage to flying status. This aeroplane was one of several 100
built in Australia during the war.2
At 7am on Sunday 12th July 1942, a Bristol Beaufort A9-64 flying in
low cloud and mist just managed to clear the summit of Arthurs Seat,
but crashed into the scrub land south of the lookout tower.3

It is the successor of the Bristol Blenheim ,
Bristol Beaufort is the predecessor of the Bristol Beaufighter.
Bristol Beauforts were used by both the RAF (Coastal Command) and the
Fleet Air Arm.9
RAAF Bristol Beaufort, A9-322 of 32 Squadron, crashed into the sea off
Bundaberg on 24 December 1943.10
RAAF Mark VII Bristol Beaufort A9-101 crashed at Letts Beach, near "L"
bombing range near Lake Reeve in Victoria on 19 July 1945 after the
port engine caught fire.11
